Balloons in Binbrook cannot guarantee the life of your balloon once it is purchased. There are many environmental factors that may affect its life span.
We suggest getting your balloons to the destination as soon as possible to avoid popping and premature deflating. The following external factors may affect your balloons:
- Outdoor oxidization
- Static
- Sharp objects (even grass!)
- Pets
- Children playing with them
- Direct sun outdoors or through a window
- Temperature fluctuations
Helium gas is sensitive to temperature changes. Cold air causes the helium molecules to shrink which can make the balloon appear deflated while still floating. Heat on the other hand, expands helium molecules which may cause the balloon to pop or develop a tear in the seam or a hole.
Latex allergies:
Latex balloons are made from latex rubber and some people are allergic to or have as sensitivity to latex. More and more facilities have become “Latex Free” such as hospitals, long term care facilities, some schools and community buildings. Please ensure the location you are hosting the event allows latex balloons prior to ordering.
Balloon Safety:
Children Under the age of 8 should never be left alone with balloons due to the risk of choking on the balloon material and strangulation with ribbon.
Inhaling helium gas is extremely dangerous and can cause asphyxiation causing death.
